Client:
Bob McGannon of Intelligent Disobedience Leadership provides Business Coaching, Training Workshops and Keynote Presentations, with several LinkedIn Learning online learning video courses already produced.
Brief:
Prior to Covid19, Linkedin Learning video courses were shot and produced primarily by their own in-house production team in the US. . Due to international travel restrictions, Bob McGannon – who resides on the Sunshine Coast – was unable to film in the States so came to Innovate Media to produce his next course.
The requirement was for 25 videos of approximately 3 minutes duration each, to be shot and edited with custom designed branded graphics and text overlays. As a seasoned video presenter, it was discussed and agreed that Bob would be able to confidently deliver his course material to camera using a teleprompter within a 1.5 day studio shoot (which he nailed with time to spare!)
Process:
Bob McGannon provided Innovate Media with each of his scripts, indicating which parts were suitable for highlighting as text overlays. These were formatted for the teleprompter and the 4K video shoot was conducted with a single camera operator and green screen at Innovate Media’s Birtinya studio.
To ensure a smooth post production process, Innovate Media granted Bob McGannon client access to their project management software so he could log in to check in on and be notified in real time of the milestones and progress statuses of each video draft. This platform also integrated directly with Innovate’s online video draft review and approval platform used to easily collate and document the various change requests and approvals.
With the look and feel approved during the first two video drafts, the remaining drafts were rolled out in daily batches for review. A simple back and forth exchange on the review software allowed for communication of change requests and version control until all 25 videos were approved.
Once approved, a single url link enabled the download of all the mp4 files for the LinkedIn team to review and upload.
Success Metrics:
As part of LinkedIn Learning’s strict content approval process and quality control, praise was given to Innovate Media for the production quality and style of the final video content. As testimony to this, only one single letter capitalisation in one of the 25 videos was suggested to be altered.
In the first two months since it’s launch on LinkedIn Learning in late Sept 2021, the course has already been accessed by almost 7000 viewers worldwide.
Innovate Media is a creative, responsive and knowledgeable firm. I enjoyed working with them on my series of educational videos and an ad graphic. The quality of their work ensured that my videos passed through the various levels of LinkedIn Learning’s approval process flawlessly. I’m planning on using them again in a few months to create more training videos.
